Allegations: TTC FAILED TO TIMELY PAY ITS DEPOSIT INSURANCE ASSESSMENT FOR THE QUARTER ENDED 3/31/2014. THE ASSESSMENT HAS SINCE BEEN PAID, AND THE FAILURE TO PAY WAS DUE TO AN ADMINISTRATIVE ERROR. Status: Final Sanction Detail: PURSUANT TO THE FDIC'S ORDER TO PAY DATED 9/10/2014, THE CIVIL MONETARY PENALTY WAS COLLECTED FROM TTC, ALONG WITH THE REGULAR QUARTERLY ASSESSMENT PREMIUM, VIA AN ACH DEBIT ON 9/30/2014. Summary: MATTER CLOSED.
Allegations: A ROUTINE MARKET CONDUCT EXAMINATION REPORT FOUND 12 INDIVIDUAL INSTANCES IN WHICH THE DEPARTMENT FELT THAT THRIVENT FINANCIAL AND THRIVENT LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY WERE NOT IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH SOME ELEMENTS OF THE ILLINOIS INSURANCE CODE. THE AREAS WERE TIMELY PAYMENT OF CLAIMS, APPROPRIATE TERMS FOR AUTHORIZATION FORMS, AND THE HANDLING OF COMPLIANTS. Status: Final Sanction Detail: THRIVENT FINANCIAL AND THRIVENT LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY AGREED TO A STIPULATION AND CONSENT ORDER -- WITHOUT ADMITTING FAULT, LIABILITY OR WRONGDOING -- PURSUANT TO WHICH WITHIN 30 DAYS IT WILL PAY TO THE ILLINOIS DIRECTOR OF INSURANCE A $12,000 CIVIL FORFEITURE AND SUBMIT PROOF OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE AREAS CITED IN THE STIPULATION AND CONSENT. THIS MATTER IS NOT RELATED TO THRIVENT FINANCIAL'S ROLE AS AN INVESTMENT ADVISER. Summary: MATTER CLOSED.
